Check Out the Library Geocaches!

Never heard of geocaching? According to geocaching.com, it is a "real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location."

With nearly 3 million geocaches placed world wide and nearly 6 million registered geocachers, it is quickly becoming one of the top outdoor recreational hobbies. Getting started is easy - sign up for a free account at geocaching.com, search for a cache near you, and you're ready to go!

Marshall Public Library is pleased to be a part of this exciting adventure.  Be sure to check out our new series of library related geocaches. There are 3 located around our library districts - "Little Library Outpost #1", "Little Library Outpost #2", and "Dewey or Not?".

Learn more at https://www.geocaching.com/guide/default.aspx or stop by the library to check-out a how-to book.
