"Reading Takes You Everywhere" This Summer!

Reading Takes You Everywhere!, the 2018 Summer Reading theme, will focus on the excitement of exploration and new discoveries to be found in books, libraries, our communities, and beyond. For all summer readers, this year’s theme is about life in other places - from foods around the world to travel, music, art and animals, this year's program is full of adventure and fun. Children ages 13 and under will enjoy weekly activities designed to prevent the “summer lag”.

Registration will begin Tuesday, May 29th with the annual Street Fair Kick-Off on Wednesday, May 30th from 4:00—6:00 PM in front of the library.

Weekly programs will feature family friendly movies, programs, crafts, snacks, rewards, and more! Enjoy Family Movies @ the Library each Tuesday, June 5th—July 10th at 2:00pm, every Wednesday special programs, June 6th—July 11th at 2:00 pm and each Thursday “Craftivity”, June 7th-July 12th at 2:00 pm (ages 4 & up).

Participants will be invited to a Reward Party on Friday, July 13th at 10:30 am for those ages 13 under and who turned in at least one reading log.

Please register for all programming as seating is limited. You can register in the library, by calling (217) 826 - 2535 or by using the online registration forms below.
