Free Books Now Available to all Clark County Children
Clark County, IL — Families with young children now have a new reason to check the mail — thanks to the launch of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Clark County, children under the age of 5 are eligible to receive a free book in the mail every month.
This beloved literacy program delivers high-quality, age-appropriate books directly to the homes of registered children, encouraging a love of reading and helping prepare them for kindergarten and beyond. There is no cost to families to participate. Clark County’s participation in the Imagination Library is made possible through the generous support of:
“We are thrilled to help bring Dolly Parton’s vision of a book in every child’s home to life here in Clark County,” said Marshall Public Library Director Alyson Thompson. “Early literacy has a lifelong impact, and this program gives families a simple and joyful way to nurture a love of reading.”
How to Register
Parents or guardians of children under age 5 can register online at www.imaginationlibrary.com or by scanning the QR code on promotional materials.
Additionally, families may register in person at their local participating libraries:

Books will begin arriving monthly and continue until the child turns five.
